About Us

Anchor Baptist Church

Anchor Baptist Church of Washington Court House began as a church‑plant mission on September 18, 2008, sent out by a Baptist church in Hillsboro, Ohio. Twenty‑two people attended those first services. Just over a year later, on November 22, 2009, God had blessed the work with fifty‑three members, and the congregation officially chartered as an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.

The Lord has continued to bless ABC from the very beginning. In 2018, Pastor Dr. John W. Lewis became our Senior Pastor and faithfully served for five years. Today, Pastor Mike Pinson serves as our Senior Pastor. Pastor Pinson brings many years of pastoral and overseas missionary experience, and he faithfully preaches and teaches sound Bible messages from the King James Bible. His wife, Tonda, is also a vital part of our ministry serving in music, teaching our ladies, and helping in many other areas of church life.

Our prayer is that God will continue to guide and bless Anchor Baptist Church, and that He will use our congregation to share the love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community.

It is the desire of Anchor Baptist Church to shine as a light, show Christ’s love, and be faithful soul‑winners here in Washington Court House and throughout the surrounding areas.
